Entry 1 _ Cao My
Hanh
Item 1: A Poem numbers 28
Your questioning eyes are sad.
They seek to know my meaning as the moon would fathom the sea.
I have bared my life before your eyes from end to end, with nothing hidden
or held back.
That is why you know me not.
If it were only a gem,
I could break it into a hundred pieces and string them into a chain to put on
your neck.
If it were only a flower, round and small and sweet,
I could pluck it from its stem to set it in your hair.
But it is a heart, my beloved.
Where are its shores and its bottom ?
You know not the limits of this kingdom,
still you are its queen.
If it were only a moment of pleasure it would flower in an easy smile,
and you could see it and read it in a moment.
If it were merely a pain it would melt in limpid tears,
reflecting its inmost secret without a word.
But it is love, my beloved.
Its pleasure and pain are boundless,
and endless its wants and wealth.
It is as near to you as your life,
but you can never wholly know it.

Message :
In general, love is complicated because when you’re in love, you will experience all kinds of feeling from having
a lot of pain to being on top of happiness and love is also full of desires,
hopes. That’s why you can never fully understand love; you can’t find
its boundary or how deep is it so even if the man in the poem have bared his
heart to the women but she cannot and will never wholly understand his love
Item 2: Song lyrics: When you believe
Many nights we've prayed
With no proof anyone could hear
In our hearts a hopeful song
We barely understood
Now we are not afraid
Although we know there's much to fear
We were moving mountains long
Before we knew we could
There can be miracles, when you believe
Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe
In this time of fear
When prayers so often prove(s) in vain
Hope seems like the summer birds
Too swiftly flown away
Yet now I'm standing here
My heart's so full I can't explain
Seeking faith and speaking words
I never thought I'd say
There can be miracles, when you believe
Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe
They don't (always happen) when you ask
And it's easy to give in to your fears
But when you're blinded by your pain
Can't see your way straight through the rain
(A small but )still resilient voice
Says (hope is very near)
There can be miracles
When you believe
Though hope is frail
It's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles, you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
somehow you will
You will when you believe
Just believe...in your heart
With no proof anyone could hear
In our hearts a hopeful song
We barely understood
Now we are not afraid
Although we know there's much to fear
We were moving mountains long
Before we knew we could
There can be miracles, when you believe

Message:
If you
always lived with hope have faith, somehow you could overcome a lot of difficulties to achieve a lot of
things in life before you recognize that you had achieved it ;and that’s life’s
miracles
Item 3: Satire picture
I.
Rhetorical devices:
·
Personify: Trees can talk
·
A rhetorical
question: Human rights for Mother Earth?
II.
Message :
People
are destroying the environment and nature has its voice. From this picture, we
have to change ourselves, need to care about the environment problem , must
treat Mother Earth right.
The lyrics of the song "When you believe" once again reinforce my belief that having a positive attitude is one important virtue to success in life. Thank you :)
Trả lờiXóaitem 3:
Trả lờiXóaIn my opinion, your message is a little bit to far because I can not see any destruction in the cartoon. I think it should be: every thing or products we are using now is from nature. So, let's respect and protect our Mother Nature.
