Song
Don't cry Joni
Conway Twitty - Joni Lee
Jimmy please say you’ll wait
for meI’ll grow up someday you’ll see
Saving all my kisses just for you
Signed with love forever true
Joni was the girl who live next door
I've known her, I guess ten years or more
Joni wrote me a note one day
And this is what she had to say
Jimmy please say you’ll wait for me
I’ll grow up someday you’ll see
Saving all my kisses just for you
Signed with love forever true
Slowly I read her note once more
Then I went over to the house next door
Her teardrops fell like rain that day
When I told Joni what I had to say
Joni Joni please don’t cry
You’ll forget me by and by
You’re just fifteen and I’m twenty two
And Joni I just can’t wait for you
Soon I left our little home town
Got me a job and try to settle down
But these works kept on in my memory
The words that Joni said to me
Jimmy please say you’ll wait for me
I’ll grow up someday you’ll see
Saving all my kisses just for you
Signed with love forever true
I packed my clothes, and I caught a plane
I had to see Joni, I had to explain
How my heart was filled with her memory
And let my Joni she marry me
I ran on the way to the house next door
But things weren’t like they were before
My teardrops fell like rain that day
When I heard what Joni had to say
Jimmy Jimmy please don’t cry
You’ll forget me by and by
It’s been five years since you’ve been gone
Jimmy I married with your best friend John
Rhetorical devices:
-
Repitition: “Jimmy please say you’ll wait for me
I’ll grow up someday you’ll see
Saving all my kisses just for you”
I’ll grow up someday you’ll see
Saving all my kisses just for you”
-

me-see, you-true, door-more, wrote-note, day-say, cry-by, two-you, down-town,
door-before.

Message:
People usually miss their opportunities because
they don’t think it over, and then they have to regret. Therefore, when your
chances come, try your best to respect and take them, or you can put an end of
your life with regrets.
Item2: Fable
The Ass in the Lion's Skin
An Ass once found a Lion's skin which the hunters had left out in the sun to dry. He put it on and went towards his native village. All fled at his approach, both men and animals, and he was a proud Ass that day. In his delight he lifted up his voice and brayed, but then every one knew him, and his owner came up and gave him a sound cudgelling for the fright he had caused. And shortly afterwards a Fox came up to him and said: "Ah, I knew you by your voice.".
Rhetorical devices:
Metaphor:
the Ass: human beings
Lion’s skin: things which is
beautiful that they want to show to others
Message:
Fine clothes
may disguise, but silly words will disclose a fool.Although you are covered with a beautiful casing, you can’t hide the
truth that who you are. When you lift up your voice or doing something, you own
characters will be shown.

I really like the song "Don't cry Joni" and listen to it a lot. I agree with the idea that when opportunity comes, catch it or else we will end up regretting with what we should have done. Moreover we should be decisive in life. Pass what may, you should just let the sleeping dog lies. It's the best choice one can make in a particular time of life, so instead of regretting, we should admit the fault and strive more. If not, sadness will haunt you for a long time.
Trả lờiXóathe song is great. But in item 2 I don't like the word "Ass", it's rude. ;))
