Item 1: Poem
Funny... but not [1]
It's funny how hello is always accompanied with goodbye
It's funny how good memories can start to make you cry
It's funny how forever never seems to last
It's funny how much you'd lose if you forgot about your past
It's funny how “friends” can just leave when you are down
It's funny how when you need someone they never are around
It's funny how people change and think they're so much better
It's funny how many lies are packed into one “love letter”
It's funny how one night can contain so much regret
It's funny how you can forgive but not forget
It's funny how ironic life turns out to be
But the funniest part of all, is none of thats funny to me
Rhetorical Device:
Rhyme: goodbye - cry, last - past, down - around, better - letter, regret - forget, to be - to me.
Repetition: the structure "It's funny how..."
Message: Life is full of paradoxes and unpredictable events. Even things that you trust in can betray you one day. Therefore, you should be fully prepared to cope with every possibly hardship in life.
Item 2: Fable
The Fox, the
Cock and the Dog [2]
One moonlight
night a Fox was prowling about a farmer's hen-coop, and saw a Cock roosting
high up beyond his reach.
"Good
news, good news!" he cried.
"Why, what is that?" said the Cock.
"King Lion has declared a universal truce. No beast may hurt a bird henceforth, but all shall dwell together in brotherly friendship."
"Why, that is good news," said the Cock; "and there I see some one coming, with whom we can share the good tidings." And so saying he craned his neck forward and looked afar off.
"What is it you see?" said the Fox.
"It is only my master's Dog that is coming towards us. What, going so soon?" he continued, as the Fox began to turn away as soon as he had heard the news. "Will you not stop and congratulate the Dog on the reign of universal peace?"
"I would gladly do so," said the Fox, "but I fear he may not have heard of King Lion's decree."
"Why, what is that?" said the Cock.

Your poem, story, picture is very meaningful and your artistic sense is very good, so I just want to add a bid of personal ideas.:D.
Trả lờiXóa1. About the story, I think you should draw the conclusion that telling lies is not good ( because it can really backfire you), so we should be honest and sometimes watchful over unbelievable things.
2. About the poem, in my opinion, there is another message: You should be optimistic about your life.
That's all. I hope my comment is useful to you! Best wishes to you!:))
thank you for your comment so much. About the story, your suggestion is useful for me and i like it. About the poem, you may have other feeling, but i think the title and the last sentence of the poem may be key for us to recognise the message.
XóaIn addition, every may happen surprisingly. It may be that unlucky and bad things often happen besides funny or good things.
Xóayour poem is really interesting and meaningfull. the message is that our life always has 2 side, so we have to have psychological preparation to face with many challenges. when you have difficulties, don't be discouraged, they may be potential chances. it is like "hello is always accompanied with goodbye".
Trả lờiXóathank you very much for your comment. I also like your message. it is also logical and reasonable.=))
